Adel Taarabt, the Moroccan footballer who dazzled the Premier League with his silky skills, turned down a transfer to Liverpool because he did not want to leave London, according to talkSPORT’s Darren Bent. Taarabt was one of football’s most exciting prospects and was linked with a move away from the capital, with Liverpool said to be keen. However, Bent revealed that Taarabt opted not to complete a switch elsewhere in the country, citing part of the London lifestyle as the reason. Taarabt was on a King’s ransom at QPR and was getting linked to a couple of clubs up north, including Liverpool, but he refused to leave London.
