Manchester United Pursuing Juventus Star Gleison Bremer on Dan Ashworth’s Recommendation
Manchester United is reportedly making a move for Juventus defender Gleison Bremer following a recommendation from incoming sporting director Dan Ashworth. Ashworth, who is set to become United’s first-ever sporting director after leaving Newcastle United, is already influencing the club’s transfer policy.
According to reports from Italy, United has been tracking Bremer for months and are now ready to make a £43 million offer for the Brazil international. Although Juventus is seeking between £50-60 million for the center-back, they may have to accept a lower offer due to financial constraints.
Bremer, who joined Juventus two years ago for around £38 million, has been in excellent form, earning a spot in the last two Serie A Team of the Years and winning the league’s Best Defender award while playing for Torino in 2022. The 27-year-old has just three caps for Brazil but could face some of his future United teammates when Brazil takes on England in a friendly.
With Raphael Varane expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer, United is in need of a new center-back. The club is confident they can secure a deal for Bremer and are hopeful that his addition will strengthen their defense.
As United looks to rebuild under new leadership, the pursuit of Gleison Bremer could be a significant step in the right direction. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing transfer saga.
