Fred absent from Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the US due to ‘personal issue’

Manchester United have announced that Fred will not be travelling with the squad for their pre-season tour of the United States due to a ‘personal issue’.

The Brazil international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, with Fulham among the clubs who are keen on a deal.

Alex Telles and Eric Bailly are also missing from United’s initial squad list as they aim to complete their departures.

Telles, who spent last season on loan at Sevilla, is on the verge of joining Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in a deal worth £4m.

Bailly, meanwhile, is also looking for a new club and continues to train away from the first-team squad.
