Liverpool Set to Open Talks with Feyenoord Manager Arne Slot as Klopp’s Successor
Liverpool is making progress in their search for a successor to Jurgen Klopp, with talks set to begin on Wednesday with Feyenoord manager Arne Slot. He stated, “The next step will not be another club in Holland. If that is the next step, I’ve failed completely in the upcoming few years.”

Before joining Feyenoord, Slot had a successful tenure at AZ Alkmaar, his first managerial position. As a former midfielder, he had an illustrious playing career in the Netherlands, making over 100 appearances for both FC Zwolle and NAC Breda.
While Slot is a strong candidate, there have been other names linked to the Liverpool job. Xabi Alonso, a former Liverpool midfielder, was among the contenders, but he recently announced that he would be staying on at Bayer Leverkusen. Ruben Amorim, the Sporting Lisbon boss, is also heavily linked with the position.
