James Maddison set to be available for Tottenham’s clash with Bournemouth
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that midfielder James Maddison will be available for the team’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Saturday. Maddison suffered an injury during Spurs’ 2-0 victory over Manchester United last Saturday and was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
Postecoglou indicated that the midfielder will be available for Spurs’ trip to Bournemouth, saying “Madders trained today unrestricted. We’ll see how he holds up but at the moment he will be available.” He went on to explain that the injury occurred when Romero was brought down and Maddison had a shot blocked. “His ankle was a bit sore after that but medical team looked after him,” Postecoglou said.
Maddison has been an important player for Spurs this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the Premier League. His availability for the game against Bournemouth is a major boost for the team, as they look to continue their impressive form.
Tottenham have been in good form in recent weeks, winning four of their last five Premier League games. They currently sit fourth in the table, two points behind leaders Manchester City. A win against Bournemouth would be a huge boost for Spurs, as they look to keep pace with the top teams in the league.
The game against Bournemouth is a crucial one for Tottenham, as they look to build on their recent form and keep their place in the top four. With Maddison available, they have a great chance of getting the three points. It will be interesting to see how he performs, and whether he can help Spurs secure another important win.
