Arsenal Enter Race to Sign Liverpool Transfer Target Andre

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Brazilian midfielder Andre for some time, and now Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign the Fluminense star. The Gunners’ sporting director, Edu Gaspar, visited Fluminense’s training ground on Friday, leading to speculation that Arsenal are interested in signing Andre.

He has been compared to Liverpool’s current midfield star Fabinho, and it is thought that he could be an even better signing for the Reds.

Andre is expected to leave Fluminense in the January transfer window, after the conclusion of the Copa Libertadores, in which Fluminense have reached the final. They will play Boca Juniors at their home stadium, the famous Maracana, on November 4.

Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Arsenal‘s sporting director, Edu Gaspar, visited Fluminense’s training ground on Friday. According to Brazilian journalist Josue Seixas , “The team (Fluminense) would not work if he was not available, I think they will try to hold him as long as possible, which is December, the end of the Brazilian season.”
