On Sunday 14 May, the Women’s Super League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United will face off in the FA Cup final at a sold-out Wembley Stadium. This match will be broadcast live on BBC One, with build-up starting at 13:50 BST. Gabby Logan will present the coverage, joined by former Arsenal captain Alex Scott, England’s most-capped player Fara Williams and former United goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain. The kick-off is at 14:30 BST and the match can also be watched on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website & app; listened to on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra; and followed with live text and highlights on BBC Sport website & app.
This is Manchester United’s first time in the FA Cup final, while Chelsea have won the competition four times and been runners-up twice. Last year, Emma Hayes’ side beat Manchester City in the final, winning 3-2 after extra time. If Sunday’s match is level after 90 minutes, extra time and penalties will be used to decide who wins. Both teams have already received £110,000 in prize money since their introduction at the fourth-round stage. The winning team will receive an additional £100,000 in prize money from the Football Association and £50,000 will be given to the losing side.
