Tottenham Hotspur FC has made two significant announcements regarding player transfers. They have signed Radu Dragusin from Genoa in a deal worth £26 million, while Eric Dier is joining Bayern Munich on loan. As part of the Dragusin deal, Tottenham right-back Djed Spence has moved to Genoa on loan for the rest of the season.
Dragusin, a talented centre-back, has signed a six-and-a-half year contract with Tottenham and will wear the No.6 shirt previously worn by Davinson Sanchez. There is a possibility that Dragusin could make his debut for Tottenham this Sunday in their Premier League clash against Manchester United.
It is worth noting that Bayern Munich made a late attempt to sign Dragusin, but he ultimately chose to join Tottenham instead. This signing fulfills manager Ange Postecoglou’s top priority of acquiring a centre-back during this transfer window. Dragusin has been one of Serie A’s standout defenders this season.
In addition to the Dragusin signing, Tottenham has also agreed to send Eric Dier on loan to Bayern Munich for the remainder of the season, with an option to make the transfer permanent. Dier’s move to Bayern reunites him with former teammate Harry Kane. This marks the end of Dier’s nearly decade-long stay at Tottenham, where he made 365 appearances.
