Rio Ferdinand Reveals Funniest Players in ‘Ruthless’ Man Utd WhatsApp Group
Rio Ferdinand, the former Manchester United star, has given fans a sneak peek into the banter-filled WhatsApp group that features a number of former Red Devils players. As the admin of the group chat, Ferdinand has witnessed firsthand the hilarious and ruthless exchanges between his fellow ex-players. However, he admits that he can only reveal so much, as some of the conversations are so brutal that “some people wouldn’t work again” if the transcripts were made public.
One recent addition to the group chat is Dimitar Berbatov, who has surprised everyone with his witty comebacks and sharp tongue. Ferdinand describes how Berbatov, who was known for his quiet demeanor on the pitch, has transformed into a savage in the virtual world. “He’s gone from the quietest man in the dressing room…he is like Patrice Evra now out there, just blowing people up!” Ferdinand exclaims. Berbatov doesn’t hold back, sending pictures, lookalikes, and mocking his fellow players’ abilities. Ferdinand jokes, “He is on it! If I could give you the transcript out of it, some people wouldn’t work again. Certain people’s careers would be put to dust, the way people are getting dismissed in this group. Ruthless.”
When asked about the funniest member of the group, Ferdinand gives a shout out to Anderson and Quinton Fortune. He praises Fortune for his relentless sense of humor, stating that he hammers everyone in the group chat by posting emojis or pictures. However, one interesting revelation is that Anderson struggles with English. Ferdinand shares that when Anderson sends voice notes in the chat, they often have difficulty understanding him. He adds humorously, “He can’t speak English, bruv! If I played you his voice notes, he starts chatting and we go, ‘what are you saying bruv?’ He says people’s names and we go, ‘who’s that?’ He was here for four, five, six years, he doesn’t know how to say ‘thank you’.”
It’s clear that the banter-filled WhatsApp group is a place for former Manchester United players to let loose and have a laugh. Ferdinand admits that certain personal aspects from their playing days often come up in these conversations, but he chooses not to disclose them. The camaraderie and humor within the group chat are a testament to the strong bond that these former teammates share.
In other news, Bayern Munich is rumored to be interested in a shock move for former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Dwight Yorke has also named two players he wants Manchester United to sign this summer.
