During his punditry duties for Sky Sports covering Manchester United’s victory over Chelsea in the Premier League, Jamie Redknapp became the target of an X-rated chant from United fans. As a former Liverpool star, Redknapp was subjected to the chant at half-time, with fans singing “Jamie Redknapp you’re a w****r, you’re a w****r”. Redknapp and co-pundit Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink found the chant amusing, with Redknapp even getting his own back at full-time by referring to a no-look pass from United star Casemiro as a “Roberto Firmino pass” in reference to the Liverpool favourite. The moment went viral on Twitter, with many applauding Redknapp for taking it on the chin.
