Real Madrid is on a mission to build a team that will dominate for the next decade. The club has already signed some of the world’s best players, including Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Vinicius Jr. There are also rumors that Real Madrid is targeting Kylian Mbappe, the French and PSG striker, to add to their already impressive lineup. The club is determined to win more European glory and add to their 14 Champions League trophies. It seems like the new era of ‘Galacticos’ is upon us.
Thibaut Courtois, who is 31 years old, remains at the peak level of his career in goal. Camavinga has found huge success as a left-back despite being a natural midfielder. He has impressed in the position since manager Carlo Ancelotti opted to play him there this season and could remain on that side of the defense.
In the center-back position, David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger, both 30 years old, joined Madrid in the last two years following success elsewhere. They contributed to the club’s Super Cup, Club World Cup, and Copa del Rey success this season and could soon form a La Liga title-winning partnership, with Eder Militao also a solid option. Dani Carvajal has been an ever-present star at right-back in recent seasons and will surely remain there for the foreseeable future.
With the addition of Bellingham, he would likely start on the right of a three-man force in the middle of the park. Tchouameni would act as a quality asset in and around the central areas of the pitch. Toni Kroos could stay on the right as Luka Modric enters the twilight of his career, and Federico Valverde is also an excellent option.
Real Madrid’s front three with the addition of Mbappe would strike fear into most, if not all, defenses across Europe. Vinicius Jr has already proven his credentials on the left wing, having scored 23 and assisted 21 this season. On the right, Rodrygo’s 30 goal contributions across the campaign mean Madrid’s Brazilian talents can certainly shine on the big stage. Mbappe’s versatility means he has the ability to play in any position across the frontline. However, with Karim Benzema now at Al Ittihad, Mbappe would start down the middle and complete what could be a hugely dominant side. This is how Madrid’s new Galacticos could shape up.
