Jose Mourinho’s Roma reached the Europa League final by holding Bayer Leverkusen to a goalless draw in the second leg of their semi-final tie. Edoardo Bove’s goal in the first leg gave the Italian side a 1-0 win, and that was enough to take them through to the final in Budapest on 31 May. Moussa Diaby struck the crossbar for Xabi Alonso’s side in the first half of the second leg, but they could not find the breakthrough. Mourinho has won all five of his previous five European finals, including last season’s Europa Conference League with Roma.
