Mason Mount Sidelined with Injury, Adding to Manchester United’s Woes
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has suffered a mystery injury, further complicating the team’s already extensive injury list. According to Fabrizio Romano, Mount has undergone tests to determine the severity of the injury.
Mount is determined to work hard and make a swift return to action, as reported by Romano. However, his absence adds to United’s growing injury concerns, with a total of 12 first-team players currently sidelined.
While the exact nature of Mount’s injury has not been confirmed, it has been suggested that he is dealing with a calf problem that could keep him out for a month.
Since joining Old Trafford in the summer, the 24-year-old has been limited to just 12 appearances due to various injuries. He previously missed six matches between August and September, delaying his start at United. Additionally, Mount has not been included in any of Gareth Southgate’s England squads this season.
United manager Erik ten Hag is already without midfielders Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez is also sidelined with a foot injury until the new year.

Ten Hag has attributed the team’s injury woes to the demanding nature of the Premier League, which he describes as a “survival of the fittest.” As United prepares to resume domestic football after the international break, they face Everton on Sunday. A victory is crucial for Ten Hag’s side as they aim to close the gap on the top four teams.
