Manchester United Transfer Target Jean-Clair Todibo: Attractive Asking Price Offered
Manchester United have been eyeing OGC Nice vice-captain Jean-Clair Todibo as a potential summer transfer target. The 24-year-old centre-back has been on United’s radar since last summer, and it seems that a move could be on the cards at the end of this season. Todibo is part of United’s plans to strengthen their squad under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s rebuild project, with Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite also being considered as an option.
Nice has reportedly set an asking price of £40m for Todibo in the upcoming summer transfer window, making him a more affordable alternative to Branthwaite. However, there is a possibility that Todibo’s price could increase if a bidding war ensues. United is not the only club interested in the France international, as other Premier League teams and European clubs are also keeping an eye on him.
Todibo joined Nice from Barcelona in 2021 and has already made 128 appearances for the Ligue 1 side. He is under contract with them until 2027 and has earned two caps for the French national team since his debut in September. United came close to signing Todibo in a £34.1m deal last August and were linked to him again in January. Chelsea and Tottenham were also rumored to be interested in Todibo earlier this year, but it remains to be seen if they will join United in the race for his signature this summer.
With Todibo’s future uncertain, it will be interesting to see where he ends up at the start of the new season. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing transfer saga.
