Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign England playmaker James Maddison from Leicester City this summer. The 26-year-old has intimated he will not sign a new deal with the Foxes and Leicester are seeking between £45m-£60m for Maddison, depending on whether they can remain in the Premier League. Newcastle and Tottenham have also shown interest in the midfielder in the last two transfer windows, but Manchester United have now entered the race. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was interested in signing Maddison in 2020 and the Red Devils are looking to alleviate the creative burden on Bruno Fernandes’ shoulders. Maddison is a boyhood United fan and has proven in the last 18 months that he is tactically adaptable, having played on the left-flank and in deeper midfield positions.
