Man Utd Offer £40m Plus Two Players for Declan Rice

Manchester United have reportedly offered West Ham United £40m plus two players in an attempt to sign England international Declan Rice. The Red Devils are hoping to beat Arsenal and Manchester City to the 21-year-old’s signature this summer.

Arsenal Rejected by West Ham

Arsenal have seen two bids for Rice rejected by West Ham, with Premier League champions Manchester City set to launch an opening bid for the midfielder. United are hoping that Rice will snub both Arsenal and City in favour of a move to Old Trafford.

United’s Offer

The Red Devils have offered £40m plus captain Harry Maguire and winger Anthony Elanga in their first offer for Rice, according to reports. West Ham boss David Moyes is understood to be a huge admirer of Maguire, who is free to leave having lost his place in Erik ten Hag’s starting XI last season. Elanga is also deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and has been linked with a move to German club RB Leipzig.

Mason Mount Move

Ten Hag is set to overhaul his midfield this summer and United are hoping to complete a deal for Mason Mount – who is close friends with Rice. United have reached a breakthrough in talks with Chelsea and are close to agreeing a £60m move for the 22-year-old.

Outgoings

In terms of outgoings, Fred is rumoured to be on his way to Fulham while United are trying to offload Scott McTominay, who has attracted interest from two Premier League clubs.

Conclusion

It remains to be seen whether United’s offer will be accepted by West Ham, but the Red Devils are hoping that Rice will snub offers from Arsenal and Manchester City in favour of a move to Old Trafford.
