Liverpool to Face Norwich City in FA Cup Clash
Liverpool FC will take on Championship side Norwich City in the upcoming FA Cup match. Norwich secured their place in the fourth round after defeating Bristol Rovers in a replay on Wednesday night. The game will mark a reunion between Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Norwich manager David Wagner, who previously worked together. The match will be held at Anfield on Sunday, January 28, with a kickoff time of 2:30pm. It will be broadcasted on ITV in the UK.
Norwich currently sits in 11th place in the Championship, but their recent results have been promising. They managed to secure draws against Southampton and a victory over Hull City since the start of the year. Jonathan Rowe has been their standout player, with the 20-year-old striker attracting interest from Tottenham and Aston Villa.
Wagner’s squad also includes experienced players like Ashley Barnes, Shane Duffy, and Ben Gibson, who have all previously played in the Premier League. Liverpool has a strong record against Norwich, with Klopp winning all seven of their encounters since taking charge in 2015. This includes a 2-1 victory in the fifth round of the FA Cup on their way to winning the trophy in 2022.
The FA Cup clash with Norwich will take place just three days before Liverpool’s important Premier League match against Chelsea on January 31.
