Liverpool have set significant price tags for four of their players who are in high demand this summer. The club is aiming to raise a combined £83 million through their sales. So far, the transfer window has been relatively quiet for the Reds, with the only confirmed business being Calvin Ramsay’s loan move to Wigan.
The majority of Liverpool’s first-team squad is currently participating in international tournaments or enjoying their post-season break. As a result, transfer activity is expected to pick up later in the summer, particularly in terms of player departures. However, major changes to the senior side are not anticipated following the arrival of new manager Arne Slot.
Several Liverpool players have already attracted interest from other clubs, and it is likely that at least four will leave on permanent transfers. Caoimhin Kelleher, the team’s second-choice goalkeeper, has expressed his desire to leave if he cannot secure the No. 1 shirt at Anfield. Nottingham Forest is among the clubs interested in signing him, and Liverpool values him at £35 million. While Forest had a £15 million offer rejected in January, the club would not prevent Kelleher from leaving if the right deal came along.
Liverpool has also set price tags of £20 million each for Tyler Morton and Sepp van den Berg. Both players have garnered significant interest from clubs across Europe. RB Leipzig is leading the way in the pursuit of Morton, who is also wanted by Sevilla, Feyenoord, Eintracht Frankfurt, Atalanta, Bournemouth, Southampton, and Ipswich. However, Morton has expressed his desire to stay at Liverpool. Van den Berg, on the other hand, is expected to depart as he has already confirmed his intention to move. Mainz, Wolfsburg, Bologna, Southampton, and Brentford are among the clubs interested in signing him.
Another player on his way out is Nat Phillips, who is in the final year of his contract. Several clubs, including Ipswich and Mainz, are reportedly interested in signing the center-back, whom Liverpool values at £8 million. Cardiff, who had Phillips on loan last season, is also keen to secure his services. The club hopes to raise a significant amount of money if they manage to sell Kelleher, Morton, Van den Berg, and Phillips for the price tags set.
Overall, Liverpool is facing potential departures for several players this summer, with interest coming from various clubs. The club’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, is expected to negotiate hard to ensure Liverpool receives a fair deal for their players. If the club manages to raise the £83 million they hope for, it would provide a significant boost to their transfer funds.
