Reports suggest that Liverpool have joined Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham in the race to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer. While Palace are willing to let Guehi leave Selhurst Park at the end of the season, they will demand a significant fee for the 22-year-old centre-back. Guehi has impressed with his defensive ability, composure on the ball, and leadership, earning him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad last year. Arsenal, United, and Tottenham are all in need of defensive reinforcements, while Liverpool’s interest adds another contender to the mix. However, any deal for Guehi will be complicated by a sell-on clause Chelsea secured when he was sold to Palace for around £18m in 2021. Palace will demand a minimum of £50m for Guehi and want to receive a new club-record fee.
