Liverpool’s Youngsters Join Senior Training Ahead of Europa League Clash

As Liverpool prepares for their final Group E game in the Europa League, a number of young players have joined the senior training session. The Reds have already secured qualification and top spot in the group, allowing manager Jurgen Klopp to make changes to the team and give opportunities to those on the periphery.

Promising Youngsters in Contention

James McConnell and Tom Hill, both midfielders, were part of the first-team training. McConnell, who made appearances as a substitute against Toulouse and Brentford this season, is in contention to make his first start for the club. Hill, who has overcome long-term injury problems, has been a consistent presence in Barry Lewtas’ side this season.

Kaide Gordon, who has also dealt with fitness issues, was also involved in training. The 19-year-old has not featured for Klopp’s side since the League Cup semi-final against Arsenal in 2022 but returned to senior training ahead of the victory over LASK.

Full-backs Conor Bradley and Luke Chambers are expected to feature in the upcoming game. Both players came off the bench in the previous match against LASK. Calum Scanlon, who recently played as part of a front three with the U21s, could also be in contention on the left-hand side.

Striker Lewis Koumas, who appeared twice for the Reds during pre-season, received a call-up to the senior training session.
