Liverpool’s Alisson Becker’s Availability for Crystal Palace Match Uncertain
Liverpool will decide at the last minute whether goalkeeper Alisson Becker will be available for their upcoming match against Crystal Palace. Alisson has been absent from the team’s last three games due to a muscle injury sustained in a draw against Manchester City.
In Alisson’s absence, Caoimhin Kelleher has filled in as the team’s goalkeeper, and Liverpool has managed to secure three consecutive wins in all competitions, propelling them to second place in the Premier League.
However, there is hope that Alisson may be able to return for the Crystal Palace match, as he has resumed training with the first team. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp commented on Alisson’s fitness, stating that he looks good but it remains uncertain if he will be ready for the upcoming game.
On the other hand, midfielder Alexis Mac Allister will not be available for the match due to a knee wound that required stitches after Wednesday’s win over Sheffield United.
In addition to Alisson’s injury, Liverpool also confirmed that defender Joel Matip is likely to miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in a game against Fulham. Klopp has urged the club to consider offering Matip a new contract to support him during his rehabilitation.
