Juventus have told Chelsea and Manchester United that Dusan Vlahovic is ‘not for sale’ despite the Stamford Bridge club reportedly offering around £70m for the Serbia international. The 23-year-old, who has scored 23 goals in 63 games for Juventus and 13 in 21 games for his country, has attracted interest from both Chelsea and United, who are both expected to spend big on a new striker this summer. However, Juventus chief football officer Francesco Calvo has dismissed the rumours, insisting that Vlahovic will not be leaving. “Rumours are not something we can control, but the transfer market hasn’t even opened yet. Dusan is not for sale. We are satisfied with the effort he puts in, although everyone in life can do better,” he said.
Calvo also dismissed speculation over Massimiliano Allegri’s future at Juventus following an underwhelming season for the Serie A giants. “There are no doubts, Massimiliano Allegri will be our coach next season. We’re building our future together with him. We’ve unconditional trust in Allegri,” he said.
Chelsea are searching for a new centre forward after seeing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang flop at Stamford Bridge this season, while Manchester United have relied on Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst in the second-half of the season after releasing Cristiano Ronaldo during the World Cup. Both clubs have been linked with Napoli sensational Victor Osimhen, while United boss Erik ten Hag is said to be interested in bringing England captain Harry Kane to Old Trafford.
