Ajax defender Jurrien Timber has confirmed that he has received interest from several clubs regarding a summer transfer but is considering remaining in Amsterdam for another season. The 21-year-old was targeted by Manchester United last summer but rejected the move, instead believing that staying at Ajax would boost his chances of playing at the World Cup. United, Liverpool and Napoli are all thought to be interested in signing Timber this summer. The defender has confirmed that he will assess his options in the summer and has already spoken to Ajax’s new football director Sven Mislintat. Timber is not opposed to remaining at Ajax, even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. He will discuss his options with his agent in the summer.
