Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Diogo Jota is a “doubt” for Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Fulham, due to an existing rib injury that was aggravated by a knock he received during the 4-3 victory over Tottenham. Klopp revealed that Jota had not trained since the match and would likely only be considered for a place on the bench if he is able to join the squad. Klopp also provided an update on Roberto Firmino’s injury, saying that he is close to returning but not yet fit. Naby Keita is also close to returning, having been sidelined since late-March with an injury picked up on Guinea duty. Luis Diaz started against Tottenham but two games in four days should come too soon in his recovery, with Darwin Nunez the likely alternate against Fulham.
