Heung-Min Son hailed as ‘world class’ by Tottenham playmaker James Maddison
Tottenham playmaker James Maddison has praised Heung-Min Son, calling him ‘world class’ after the South Korea forward helped Spurs to the top of the Premier League table. Son scored once and set-up another as Ange Postecoglou’s men beat Fulham 2-0 at the Tottenham stadium.
Spurs are unbeaten so far this term, winning seven of their opening nine matches. Maddison has been at the forefront of the side’s form since his arrival from Leicester in a £40m move. The England midfielder’s struck up abrilliant partnership with Son, particularly after the departure of Harry Kane. And Maddison says the former Bayer Leverkusen man is ‘world class’.
‘We have a brilliant relationship,’ said Maddison. ‘Sonny was a player I loved for years and years watching and now it is an absolute pleasure to play with him. He is a world class player, I don’t throw that around a lot. We like to link up, we work a lot on training and we are starting to understand each other’s runs.’

Maddison says that while it’s important to stay focused on the long-term goals, it’s also important to let the fans dream. ‘The fans can get carried away, we want that! It is what it is about for them, but it is about us not doing that. If you think of long term goals you can get carried away. We want the fans to dream, but we will stay focused day by day.’
Tottenham have been in impressive form so far this season and look set to challenge for the title. With Heung-Min Son and James Maddison forming a formidable partnership, Spurs could be set for a successful season.
