According to reports from the Irish Independent, a footballer from the League of Ireland is set to join the cast of Love Island this summer. The player has been given permission by his club to participate in the reality TV show due to the potentially life-changing opportunity it presents. Although the identity of the player remains a mystery, it is believed that he is in his 20s and not originally from Ireland. The club has not commented on his participation, and it is expected that his appearance on the show will be his first public appearance. The latest series of Love Island premiered on Monday night, and it was the show’s most dramatic launch yet, with two couples opting to split on the first night. Presenter Maya Jama made a surprise appearance in the Majorcan villa and offered a way out to some of the girls who did not feel they were in the right romantic pairing. The arrival of Zachariah Noble, 25, was also set to shake things up, as he confessed to being a “dad” to his beloved pet cat Frank.
