Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes that Liverpool are the best placed team to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title next season. Despite Liverpool’s struggles this season, Neville believes that they have proven they can take on and beat City in the past six years, citing their success in 2020 when they won the title. Neville also highlighted the importance of having a great manager and a great group of players to be able to challenge City consistently, something he believes Liverpool have achieved in the past. He also mentioned other teams such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham as potential challengers to City, but believes that Liverpool have the best chance of doing so.
