Understanding Gameweeks and Transfers in Dream Team’s Season Fantasy Game

Introduction:
Dream Team’s season fantasy game is an exciting platform for football enthusiasts to showcase their managerial skills. Two crucial aspects of the game are Gameweeks and transfers. In this article, we will delve into the details of these subjects, providing valuable insights and analysis.

Gameweeks:
Gameweeks serve as scoring periods in the Dream Team game. It is essential to prepare your team for each upcoming Gameweek before the deadline, which usually falls 90 minutes before the first fixture. However, note that the first deadline of the season is on August 16th at 8 pm when Manchester United takes on Fulham to kickstart the Premier League campaign.

Before each deadline, you must confirm any transfers, select your captain and vice-captain, and activate any Boosters you want to play. Remember that any changes made after the deadline will only take effect in the following Gameweek.

It is common for certain teams to have more fixtures than others in a particular Gameweek. For instance, during Gameweek 2, 13 top-flight clubs will feature in the second round of the Carabao Cup, resulting in these teams having two games in that Gameweek. On the other hand, teams like Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Chelsea will only play once.

Additionally, European competitions will commence soon after, leading to more double Gameweeks for top clubs. Having more fixtures means more opportunities to score points, making it wise to tailor your team’s selection based on the schedule and target these double Gameweeks. You can stay updated on upcoming Gameweek deadlines through the app or website’s display, and you can view fixtures for each Gameweek in the Match Centre.

Transfers:
Once the season is underway, making transfers becomes crucial to adapt to the unfolding drama. Whether it involves replacing injured or suspended players or swapping under-performing flops for in-form gems, transfers play a vital role in maintaining your team’s condition.

Before the season begins, you have the freedom to make as many transfers as you like, allowing you to experiment with different combinations and formations. However, once the action starts, you will have two transfers available per Gameweek. If you choose not to make a transfer, one transfer will rollover to the following Gameweek.

It is important to note that rollover only occurs if no transfers are made at all. For example, if you have two available transfers and use only one, you will have a total of two transfers available in the following Gameweek, not three. The maximum number of transfers that can be rolled over is four.

Furthermore, it is possible to reverse transfers before the deadline. Suppose you replace Alexander Isak with Ollie Watkins but later discover that Watkins is a major doubt for the weekend. In that case, you can reverse the transfer before the deadline and either stick with Isak or find an alternative replacement.

Conclusion:
Gameweeks and transfers are fundamental elements of Dream Team’s season fantasy game. Understanding how Gameweeks work and strategically planning transfers can significantly impact your team’s performance. Stay updated with the latest transfer suggestions and other tips throughout the season to maximize your chances of success.
