According to sources at talkSPORT, Fulham is interested in signing Fred from Manchester United during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Brazilian midfielder is set to enter the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, and Cottagers boss Marco Silva was seen speaking to him in the car park after the final day of the Premier League season. Silva is reportedly pushing for the signing of Fred, who would be the latest Brazilian player to make the move to Craven Cottage, following in the footsteps of Willian and Andreas Pereira.
United may be willing to let Fred go as they look to strengthen their own squad. Despite the signings of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, Fred has played more games this season than any other he has had at Old Trafford, making 55 appearances. However, Erik ten Hag, the manager of Ajax, could look to sell Fred this summer and search for a younger midfielder. Chelsea’s Mason Mount is reportedly the preferred choice, but moves for Declan Rice, Romeo Lavia, and Alexis Mac Allister have not been ruled out, with all three expected to be on the move this summer.
