# Frank Lampard Interested in Replacing Michael Beale at Rangers

Former Chelsea and Everton manager Frank Lampard is interested in replacing Michael Beale at Rangers. (Frank Lampard)

Lampard, 45, would be open to talks with the Ibrox club, who parted ways with Beale on Sunday after three defeats in the first seven Scottish Premiership matches of the season. The former Chelsea and Everton manager is no stranger to the managerial role, having started his career at Derby County in 2018 and having a permanent spell in charge of Chelsea between July 2019 and January 2021. He was most recently caretaker boss at Chelsea from April to May, however his second stint at Stamford Bridge did not go well, with just one win from 11 matches.

Having been sacked from his post at Everton in January of this year after a ninth loss in 12 league games, Lampard is now looking for a new challenge and could be the perfect fit for Rangers. Steven Davis and Alex Rae are the interim management team at Rangers, who visit Aris Limassol on Europa League duty on Thursday before Sunday’s lunchtime trip to St Mirren.

## Frank Lampard’s Career

Frank Lampard is a former English professional footballer who enjoyed a trophy-laden playing career with Chelsea, and has since moved into management. He was capped 106 times for England and is now looking for his next managerial role at Rangers.

Lampard started his managerial career at Derby County in 2018 and had a permanent spell in charge of Chelsea between July 2019 and January 2021. His second stint at Stamford Bridge did not go well, with just one win from 11 matches, leading to his sacking in January 2021.

He was then appointed as manager of Everton in January 2022 and helped steer them away from the threat of relegation before being sacked in January of this year after a ninth loss in 12 league games.

## Could Lampard be the Perfect Fit for Rangers?

With Michael Beale having left Rangers after three defeats in the first seven Scottish Premiership matches of the season, Frank Lampard is interested in taking over the managerial role at Ibrox. Lampard has had a successful playing career with Chelsea and has experience managing both Chelsea and Everton, so he could be the perfect fit for Rangers.

Steven Davis and Alex Rae are currently the interim management team at Rangers, who visit Aris Limassol on Europa League duty on Thursday before Sunday’s lunchtime trip to St Mirren. If Lampard is appointed as manager, he will have the opportunity to help steer Rangers back to success and bring some much needed stability to the club.

## Conclusion

Frank Lampard is an experienced manager who has enjoyed a successful playing career with Chelsea and has managed both Chelsea and Everton in the past. He is now interested in taking over the managerial role at Rangers following Michael Beale’s departure and could be the perfect fit for the club. With Steven Davis and Alex Rae currently acting as interim management team, it remains to be seen whether Lampard will be appointed as manager of Rangers or not.
