Former St Johnstone Boss Callum Davidson in Advanced Talks to Become Queen’s Park Manager
Queen’s Park is currently in advanced negotiations with former St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson to take over as their new manager.
Anticipated Announcement this Week
It is expected that an official announcement will be made by the Championship club early this week.
Robin Veldman left Queen’s Park in early December, and Paul Nuijten has been overseeing the team for the past five matches.
Davidson’s Background
Callum Davidson, 47, was relieved of his duties at McDiarmid Park in April last year after serving as the club’s manager for almost three years.
During the 2020-21 season, Davidson achieved remarkable success by leading St Johnstone to a Scottish Cup and League Cup double.
Initially, Davidson was set to take charge of Dundee in May after engaging in talks with the newly promoted club. However, he ultimately changed his mind.
Current Situation for Queen’s Park
Last Friday, Queen’s Park secured their first league victory since August with a 2-1 win against Dunfermline Athletic. The team is currently positioned ninth in the table, level on points with Arbroath at the bottom.
