The news of Jose Roberto Cordeiro de Oliveira’s passing was reported by Brazilian outlet UOL, and Firmino’s representatives have since confirmed the tragic news.

Earlier this week, Firmino was seen at an amusement park with his family members, unaware of the impending tragedy.

The family is currently in contact with the Brazilian embassy in the UAE to make arrangements for bringing Jose Roberto’s body back to South America.

In his book, ‘Si Senor – My Liverpool Years,’ Firmino expressed his deep admiration for his father, describing him as a generous, serious, honest man who was dedicated to his family.

Despite his grief, Firmino is expected to play in Al-Ahli’s match against Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday.
