FIFA 23 has brought back the Fantasy FUT promo, which was a huge success in the previous campaign. EA Sports had a slow start to the year, but they are expected to ramp up excitement with the launch of their latest dynamic promo. The key difference between Fantasy FUT and other similar promos like RTTF is that upgrades are based on real-life individual performances rather than just teams.

Fantasy FUT players can earn a maximum +4 overall upgrade, starting from fixtures beginning Friday, March 17. However, matches before that date do not count towards a player’s upgrades, regardless of when the card itself was released.

So, how do Fantasy FUT upgrades work? One win in the next six domestic league games will give a player a +1 in-form upgrade. Three appearances in the next six domestic league games will also give a player a +1 in-form upgrade. Two goals or assists (Attackers/Midfielders) or two clean sheets (Defenders/Goalkeepers) in the next six domestic league games will give a player a +1 in-form upgrade. Avoiding defeat in the next six domestic league games will give a player a +1 in-form upgrade and three new traits.

FUT Heroes will also be included in the promo, but their upgrades are based on a team they represented in their playing career. Obviously, the players in question are all retired, so an individual performance upgrade is not possible, but the rest are on the line. The hero items will receive a +1 upgrade if their former team wins one game from the next six domestic league matches. They are then eligible for an additional +1 and three new traits should their old clubs avoid defeat across the next six league games.

Team 1 includes David Ginola (Newcastle), Ivan Cordoba (Inter Milan), Abedi Pele (Marseille), Joan Capdevilla (Villarreal), Ledley King (Tottenham), Lars Ricken (Borussia Dortmund), Peter Crouch (Liverpool), Harry Kewell (Leeds), Sami Al-Jaber (Al-Hilal), and Alexander Isak (Newcastle). Dele Alli (Besiktas), William Saliba (Arsenal), Fabian (Paris Saint-Germain), Armand Lauriente (Sassuolo), Amath Ndiaye (Mallorca), Samuel Umtiti (Leece), Sergi Darder (Espanyol), and Nick Lima (Austin FC) are also included.

Team 2 includes Nicolas Tagliafico (Lyon), Ismael Bennacer (AC Milan), Omer Toprak (Antalyaspor), Andre Gomes (Lille), Riqui Puig (LA Galaxy), Christian Benteke (D.C. United), Emre Can (Borussia Dortmund), Diogo Jota (Liverpool), Milot Rashica (Galatasaray), Juan Foyth (Villarreal), Eden Hazard (Real Madrid), Oscar de Marcos (Athletic Bilbao), Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich), Dominik Szoboszlai (RB Leipzig), Ruben Dias (Manchester City), Kevin Wimmer (Rapid Wien), Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton), and Marcel Sabitzer (Manchester United).

In conclusion, Fantasy FUT is an exciting promo that rewards players based on their real-life individual performances rather than just their teams. With the inclusion of FUT Heroes and their upgrades based on their former teams’ performances, this promo is sure to keep players engaged and excited for the upcoming matches.
