Liverpool, in particular, has been in outstanding form this season and has already secured their place in the last-16 of the Europa League. Jurgen Klopp’s side will be hoping for a favorable draw as they continue their European campaign.

The eight group winners from this season’s Europa League automatically qualify for the last-16. Meanwhile, the runners-up face the eight teams that finished third in their respective Champions League groups in a two-legged play-off round. The winners of these play-off ties will join the Europa League group champions in the hat for the last-16 draw.

Football enthusiasts can mark their calendars for Friday, February 23, as that is when the Europa League last-16 draw will take place. The draw will commence at 11 am GMT and will be held at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

In addition to the play-off teams, there are already several teams that have secured their place in the Europa League last-16. Alongside Liverpool and West Ham, Brighton, Atalanta, Leverkusen, Rangers, Villarreal, and Slavia Prague have all booked their spots in the next round.

The Europa League last-16 ties will be played over two legs, with the group winners at home in the second leg. The first legs are scheduled for March 7, followed by the second legs a week later on March 14. It’s important to note that away goals will not count after 180 minutes.
