Crystal Palace Working on Loan Deal for Chelsea’s Lewis Hall

Crystal Palace is reportedly in talks with Chelsea over a loan deal for Lewis Hall, following his impressive breakthrough campaign last season. The 18-year-old left-back made his Premier League debut in November and went on to make 11 appearances for the Blues during the 2022/23 season. Despite Chelsea extending his contract until 2026, Hall’s short-term future is expected to be away from Stamford Bridge due to strong competition from Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella.

Crystal Palace’s interest in signing Hall dates back to May, as they were in need of cover for their only natural left-back, Tyrick Mitchell. Mitchell’s recent injury in pre-season has further emphasized the need for a new left-back at Selhurst Park. As a result, the Eagles are now in talks with Chelsea to bring Hall in on loan, but not before the teenager signs a new deal with his boyhood club.

Chelsea has been keen on securing the future of their young talents and recently agreed to a long-term contract with star defender Levi Colwill. Crystal Palace has had great success with loanees from Chelsea in the past, including Conor Gallagher, Michy Batshuayi, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

So far this summer, Crystal Palace has only made one signing – Jefferson Lerma. This has led manager Roy Hodgson to publicly demand more signings. The club is also reportedly set to sign Matheus Franca from Flamengo and is in talks with Bayer Leverkusen for Odilon Kossounou. Kossounou, who can play as a center-back and right-back, could potentially replace Joel Ward or serve as a replacement for Marc Guehi or Joachim Andersen, both of whom have been linked with moves away from the club.

In conclusion, Crystal Palace is actively working on a loan deal for Lewis Hall from Chelsea.
