Chelsea’s Anthony Barry Eager to Join Tuchel at Bayern Munich

Date:

Reports from Germany suggest that Chelsea’s assistant coach, Anthony Barry, is eager to join Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich. Tuchel was recently appointed as the new head coach of the German club following the sacking of Julian Nagelsmann. Barry joined Chelsea as part of Frank Lampard’s backroom team in 2020 and remained at the club when Tuchel was appointed in January 2021. He was also retained when Graham Potter replaced Tuchel as manager last September.

Tuchel brought Arno Michels and Zsolt Low with him to Bayern and is now keen to add Barry to his coaching staff. According to Sky Germany, Chelsea do not want to let Barry leave the club, but he is keen to work under Tuchel once again. The report claims that Chelsea and Bayern are now in “advanced talks” over a deal for Barry.

Anthony Barry is highly regarded by Chelsea and has been an important member of their coaching staff. Speaking after he was unveiled as Bayern’s new head coach, Tuchel thanked his coaching staff and their families for their flexibility. He confirmed that Michels and Low, who have been working with him for over ten years, will be joining him at Bayern.

“We’re hoping to add Anthony Barry, who is currently at Chelsea,” Tuchel said. “We’re fighting for that and we’re confident because it’s my absolute wish.”

Chelsea fans will be disappointed to hear that Barry could be leaving the club, but they will understand his desire to work with Tuchel once again. The German coach has had a big impact at Stamford Bridge since his arrival earlier this year, leading the team to the Champions League title and a top-four finish in the Premier League.

Barry played a key role in Chelsea’s success last season, working closely with Tuchel to develop the team’s tactics and improve their performances on the pitch. He is highly regarded by the players and staff at the club, and his departure would be a blow to their preparations for the new season.

However, Chelsea have a strong coaching team in place, and they will be able to cope with Barry’s departure if it does happen. Tuchel has already shown that he is capable of working with different coaches and getting the best out of his players, and he will be looking to continue that success at Bayern Munich.

Overall, it remains to be seen whether Anthony Barry will leave Chelsea to join Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich. The two clubs are said to be in advanced talks over a deal, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Chelsea fans will be hoping that Barry stays at the club, but they will understand his desire to work with Tuchel once again if he does decide to leave.
