Reports suggest that Chelsea’s players have responded positively to the potential appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager. The club has been searching for a new manager for several weeks, with Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique both having been considered. However, Nagelsmann has now withdrawn from the running, while Enrique has fallen down the pecking order. This has made Pochettino the clear favourite to take over at Stamford Bridge. According to The Telegraph, Chelsea’s players have received positive feedback about Pochettino’s coaching skills and man-management style from members of Tottenham’s squad. While Chelsea’s recruitment team initially had reservations due to Pochettino’s previous links to Spurs, these have reportedly subsided following positive talks. Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has also been considered by Chelsea’s hierarchy, but Celtic captain Callum McGregor has urged the club to keep him.
