Chelsea Players Hold Christmas Party Despite Defeat to Everton
Despite their recent defeat to Everton, Chelsea players went ahead with their Christmas party on Sunday. The party was organized by captain Reece James as a team bonding session, aiming to strengthen personal relationships off the field.
Party Details
After the game, the players headed straight from Merseyside to Mayfair, where they dined at the exclusive restaurant Bagatelle. Following dinner, they continued the celebration at the popular Soho night club Tape.
Manager’s Approval
Manager Mauricio Pochettino gave his blessing for the players to proceed with the party, believing it unnecessary to cancel the event after the disappointing defeat. James had initially requested permission for a Christmas party but modified it to a team bonding session in light of the recent loss.
Importance of Personal Relationships
The Chelsea management recognizes the importance of developing personal relationships among the team members outside of the playing field. Pochettino shares this sentiment and views the Christmas party as a positive step towards fostering team unity.
About Bagatelle
Bagatelle is one of Mayfair’s most prestigious restaurants, known for its high prices. The menu features expensive dishes such as pasta priced at £48 and salads costing up to £25. The restaurant even has a dedicated section for caviar.
