Koulibaly Leaves Chelsea After One Season

—————————————-

Chelsea have confirmed the departure of Kalidou Koulibaly after just one season in west London. The Senegal international joined the Blues from Napoli in a deal worth £33million last summer but struggled to make an impact in the Premier League. Chelsea will bank a transfer fee of £18million from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, also clearing his £200,000-a-week salary off their books.

Hakim Ziyech and Edouard Mendy Set to Follow Koulibaly Out of Stamford Bridge

—————————————————————————-

Koulibaly is not the only one set to leave Stamford Bridge this week as Hakim Ziyech and Edouard Mendy are also set to join Saudi clubs in moves that could be made official in the coming days. Ziyech is set to join Al-Nassr in a £8m deal while Mendy will join Al-Ahli for £16m. N’Golo Kante has already completed his move to Al-Ittihad, joining the Saudi champions on a free transfer.

Kai Havertz Set to Join Arsenal

——————————

Kai Havertz is on the verge of sealing his move to Arsenal. The Germany international was set to undergo a medical on Thursday ahead of his £65m switch across the capital. Mateo Kovacic meanwhile is close to sealing his £30m move to Manchester City while Chelsea hope to tempt Manchester United into increasing their offer for Mason Mount. The Blues have rejected three offers from Old Trafford, the latest turned away on Friday which was worth £50million plus £5m in add-ons.

Conclusion

———-

It looks set to be a busy week of departures at Stamford Bridge with Kalidou Koulibaly, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, N’Golo Kante, Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic all set to leave the club. Chelsea are also hoping to secure a higher fee for Mason Mount from Manchester United. For more stories like this, check our sport page.
