Chelsea Open to Selling Teenage Talent Lewis Hall for £30m

Chelsea are open to selling teenage talent Lewis Hall this summer, but want £30m for the versatile academy product. Hall made a breakthrough last season, making his Premier League debut for the Blues and making nine appearances in the top flight, albeit in a bizarre and tumultuous campaign for the club.

The 18-year-old has been capped up to England Under-21 level and is clearly well thought of at Stamford Bridge as he signed a new contract this summer which ties him to the club until 2030.

Newcastle United and Crystal Palace Keen on Hall

According to The Telegraph, both Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are keen on the teenager, but they would have to pay £30m if they want to sign him on a permanent deal.

If Chelsea don’t receive a bid of the value that they want then they are still open to loaning Hall out as they do not see him playing regularly under Mauricio Pochettino this season.

Chelsea Academy Products Leaving Stamford Bridge

Academy products Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have already left Chelsea this summer, to Manchester United and AC Milan respectively, while the likes of Trevoh Chalobah could follow them and Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to leave.

Given the immense spending Chelsea have undertaken over the last year, selling homegrown talent is one way of clawing back some cash, although there is no guarantee that their spending spree has finished for the summer yet.
