Bruno Fernandes Commits to Manchester United Amidst Interest from Saudi Arabia
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has expressed his contentment with staying at Old Trafford, despite receiving interest from Saudi Arabia.
Interest from Saudi Arabia
There have been reports of a potential big-money move to the Middle East for the 29-year-old midfielder, with Manchester United preparing for a bid of around £100m.
Successful Stint at Manchester United
Fernandes joined Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in 2020 for a fee of approximately £47m and has since become a key player for the club. He was appointed as the club captain last summer, replacing Harry Maguire.
Commitment to Old Trafford
Despite expressing his dissatisfaction with the team’s performance this season, Fernandes has affirmed his happiness at remaining at Old Trafford. In an interview with Sport TV Portugal, he stated, “I’m focusing on the national team and United. I’m happy where I am. In the national team, we had some very good times, at Manchester United we didn’t start the way we wanted. I don’t look at rumours. I don’t pay attention to them. Today, it’s very easy to spread rumours in the press. I prefer to concentrate on my goals.“
Contract Details
Fernandes signed a five-year deal with Manchester United in 2021, which will keep him at the club until 2026. He also has the option to extend his contract for an additional 12 months.
Manchester United has made it clear that they will not entertain any offers for the talented midfielder.
