Best Dream Team XI of Game Week 25: Chilwell and Nunez Included

Date:

James Taylor, a Liverpool fan and Dream Team gaffer, had an impressive Game Week 25, amassing 132 points despite two of his most expensive assets, Harry Kane and Kevin De Bruyne, returning zero points. The key to James’ success was the dominant performance of Chelsea’s defensive unit, which registered back-to-back clean sheets against Leeds and Borussia Dortmund. Ben Chilwell whipped in the corner headed home by Wesley Fofana in the only goal of the game at Stamford Bridge, with the latter also picking up the Star Man award. Andy Robertson provided the assist for Cody Gakpo’s first goal against Man United, earning a 7+ rating on top of a clean sheet to register just his second double-digit haul of the campaign. Jordan Henderson, who features in just 0.9% of teams, backed Liverpool’s captain and benefited from an assist and a 7+ rating. Phil Foden earned his third consecutive Star Man award when he topped the match ratings against Newcastle having got on the scoresheet again. Mohamed Salah was the chief architect of Manchester United’s demise with two goals and two assists, becoming just the third Dream Team asset to become a double centurion in 2022/23. Finally, Darwin Nunez helped himself to a brace as well, setting about correcting his conversion rate in recent weeks and becoming the sixth-best player in his position.
