Philippe Coutinho Linked with Inter Miami Move
Reports suggest that Aston Villa outcast Philippe Coutinho could be joining Inter Miami. The midfielder has been on loan at Qatari side Al-Duail SC after falling out of Unai Emery’s plans. Despite having two years left on his Aston Villa contract, it is unlikely that he will play for the club again due to his drop in form last season.
Interest from MLS clubs, including David Beckham’s Inter Miami, has led to Coutinho being considered for another loan move. The opportunity to reunite with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba could be tempting for the 31-year-old. LA Galaxy has also shown interest in the Brazilian midfielder, who reportedly earns around £125,000 a week at Villa Park.

Coutinho’s impressive performance of scoring four goals in nine games for Al-Duhail has caught the attention of Inter Miami. Despite finishing second bottom in the Eastern Conference in 2023, Gerardo Martino’s side won the Leagues Cup with the help of Messi’s impact.
Since his £146 million move to Barcelona from Liverpool in 2018, Coutinho’s career has faced obstacles. He made 106 appearances at the Nou Camp before joining Bayern Munich on loan and winning the Bundesliga and Champions League in 2020. After scoring 11 goals in 36 games for Bayern Munich, he returned to Barcelona but spent most of his time on the bench. His loan move to Villa initially showed promise, but he lost his place under Emery and was subsequently sent to Al-Duhail in the Middle East.
