Arthur leaves Liverpool FC for new club.

After a frustrating season-long loan, Arthur has left Liverpool and is not expected to stay at Juventus for long. Juventus consider the deal they struck with Liverpool on deadline day in September as excellent business, as the Reds paid a £3.9 million loan fee, even though they opted not to trigger their option to buy the 26-year-old for £32 million. This switch from Barcelona to Juventus was part of an investigation which saw the club handed a points deduction for falsifying their accounts. Arthur now faces an uncertain future and his agent, Federico Pastorello, has stated that they must work to find another solution for him as he is not in Max Allegri’s tactical plans. Arthur’s momentum was hampered by calf surgery in October and he was never likely to stay at Anfield beyond his loan spell due to questions over how he fit into Jurgen Klopp’s system. There has been speculation over a move back to Brazil, with Palmeiras mooted as a possible destination, but a wasted campaign on Merseyside has clearly not boosted his stock in Europe.
