# Michail Antonio Dominates as West Ham Beat Chelsea 3-1
West Ham United secured a 3-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday, with Michail Antonio proving to be the star of the show. Match of the Day 2 pundits Ashley Williams, Andros Townsend and Martin Keown were full of praise for the West Ham forward, who scored two goals and provided an assist in a dominant performance.
## West Ham’s Early Pressure Pays Off
West Ham started the game brightly and were rewarded for their early pressure when Antonio opened the scoring in the 13th minute. The forward was played in by Tomas Soucek, before firing a low shot past Willy Caballero.
The home side continued to dominate and doubled their lead in the 28th minute when Antonio was on hand to head home a Jarrod Bowen cross. Chelsea looked to get back into the game and pulled one back through Kurt Zouma’s header just before half-time.
## Antonio Seals Victory for West Ham
The second half saw Chelsea dominate possession, but they were unable to find an equaliser. West Ham sealed the win in the 81st minute when Antonio was played in by Declan Rice and finished confidently past Caballero.
Match of the Day 2 pundits Ashley Williams, Andros Townsend and Martin Keown were full of praise for Antonio’s performance, with Townsend saying: “He was unplayable today. He was a real handful for the Chelsea defence and he took his goals really well.”
Keown added: “He was a real thorn in Chelsea’s side all afternoon and his movement was superb. He deserved his two goals and he could have had a hat-trick if it wasn’t for Caballero’s save late on.”
## West Ham Secure Important Win
The win sees West Ham move up to fourth in the Premier League table, while Chelsea remain in eighth place. It was an important victory for the Hammers, who have now won their last three games in all competitions.
Speaking after the game, West Ham manager David Moyes said: “It was a great performance from us today and I’m really pleased with how we played. Michail Antonio was outstanding and he fully deserved his two goals.”
