Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko was in high spirits after the Gunners’ 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday. The Ukrainian played 65 minutes of the match, which saw Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to eight points, albeit with Manchester City having a game in hand. Zinchenko was seen celebrating with fans as he drove away from the Emirates Stadium, pumping his fist out of the window and yelling as his wife Vlada filmed him.
After the match, Zinchenko stopped to take selfies and sign autographs for fans. His wife Vlada, who works as a Ukrainian TV reporter, was also in attendance and appeared to enjoy herself from the posh seats at the Emirates. She even grabbed a picture with Arsenal’s mascot Gunnersaurus, which she posted to her Instagram account.
Zinchenko and Vlada married in the summer of 2020 and welcomed their first child together in August of that year. The 26-year-old full-back has made 21 Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
Despite their commanding lead at the top of the table, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has urged his players to remain focused and not get complacent. “We know how quickly things can change in football,” he said. “We need to keep working hard and taking things one game at a time.”
Arsenal’s next match is against Newcastle United on Monday, January 17. The Gunners will be looking to extend their winning streak and maintain their position at the top of the table. With Zinchenko in good form and the team playing well, Arsenal fans will be hoping for another strong performance from their side.
