Arsenal fans are not only enjoying their incredible form, but Tottenham’s lack of it, and talkSPORT host Laura Woods is no different.
On Monday’s Sports Breakfast, Woodsy’s joy was Jamie O’Hara’s misery, the ex-Spurs midfielder being left with his head in his hands following some shock transfer news related to his former club.
Arsenal fan Woods, has been proved right with her backing of manager Mikel Arteta, with Arsenal flying high at the top of the Premier League.
Not only do they appear to be on course for a first title since 2004, but the club are progressing in every aspect, even in the transfer market.
In an effort to bolster their title charge, Arsenal have already spent close to £50million on Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior in January, and have since lodged a club record £75m offer for Moises Caicedo.
Meanwhile at Spurs, things aren’t going so swimmingly.
Off the pace for a top four finish and the riches that come with Champions League football, Antonio Conte is similarly making moves in the transfer market, sealing Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreall.
His top target, though, Sporting CP’s Pedro Porro, is proving a harder purchase, with a £32.5m deal on the brink of collapse, which Woods could only enjoy.

Joining Woods and Ally McCoist on talkSPORT Breakfast, O’Hara was running through the problems at Spurs, and how they can be fixed.
“Pedro Porro is a fantastic player, he’s way better than what we’ve got,” he said.
“We’ve got to get him in, he’s a big signing for us, make that happen and we’re going in the right direction.”
Woods then interrupted…
“Jamie, I hate to break this to you but Tottenham’s move for Pedro Porro is off…” she said.
O’Hara’s head entered his hands, with Woods unable to stop giggling, much to McCoist’s amusement.
“I thought you were going to be nice to him today,” the Scot said laughing. “It’s Monday morning, shocking, no need for it.”
O’Hara added: “I come on here Monday morning to have a laugh with the team and you’re throwing me under the bus, you’re just ruining my day.”
Woods made sure to screenshot the moment, and savour it on Twitter.
