Wout Weghorst’s move to Manchester United is edging closer with Burnley and Besiktas working on a deal to terminate his loan agreement, talkSPORT understands.
The Dutchman has recently been linked with a move to Old Trafford as United look to bolster their options in attack.
Boss Erik ten Hag could soon work alongside his fellow countryman, with Weghorst now keen on the move.
The striker has been on loan at Besiktas from Burnley for the first half of the 2022/23 season.
And it appears his loan spell in Turkey will be cut short, with his loan and parent club in advanced talks terminating the loan.
Ten Hag believes that the 30-year-old will be able to add a different dimension to the Red Devils’ attack.
Weghorst appears to have played his final game for Besiktas, scoring the winner in their 2-1 league win over Kasimpasa.
He could now soon make a return to the Premier League, having played in the English top flight for Burnley last season.

The forward was one of the Netherlands’ heroes during the World Cup in Qatar.
He came off the bench to score a crucial equaliser in the 11th minute of stoppage time against Argentina.
Even though the Dutch soon lost to the eventual World Cup champions, it was one of the most dramatic moments in Qatar.
Weghorst already his nine club goals to his name so far this season, a tally that could be increased in the Premier League in the coming months.
He looks set to join a United side who are full of confidence, with the Red Devils fourth in the Premier League table after 17 games.
It was reported on Thursday by Turkish journalist Gokmen Ozcan that Weghorst missed team training as he said he was ‘in pain’.
