Worried Arsenal fans all say the same thing after Mikel Arteta named Manager of the Month following hot start to season

As a result, he beat Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola, Graham Potter and Marco Silva to the prestigious Manager of the Month award.

However, fans think Arteta should be wary despite the praise as some believe that he will be CURSED after receiving the trophy.

One person tweeted: “We’re losing to Brentford then.”

Another added: “Uh-oh, we know what that means…”

A third said: “Manager of the month curse, this is where Arsenal’s downfall begins.”

While another highlighted: “Last time he won Manager of the Month award, we completely capitulated the following month.”

Arteta last won the award in March after guiding Arsenal to five consecutive away wins.

However, just three days after being named Manager of the Month, the Gunners suffered a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

They then suffered a 2-1 defeat to Brighton followed by a 1-0 loss to Southampton.

Arteta also won the award in September 2021, but his joy quickly turned to disappointment when Arsenal dropped points to Crystal Palace and Brighton.

Arsenal are now set to take on Brentford in a London derby at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Gunners currently sit at the top of the Premier League table, but Manchester City are just one point behind.

They then face bitter rivals Tottenham after the international break.
