It’s Day 5 of the 2022 World Cup and we have already had a number of shocks in the opening matches.

Pre-tournament favourites Brazil made no mistake in their opening match, getting the better of Serbia which saw Richarlison score a spectacular overhead kick.

There were fears about the fitness of Neymar, who went off injured late in the match but Selecao boss Tite insists his star man will continue to play in the tournament.

Ronaldo scored in his fifth successive World Cup as Portugal edged past Ghana in a breathless clash. Elsewhere, South Korea drew to Uruguay, while Switzerland got the better of Cameroon.

As for England, Gareth Southgate insists Harry Kane is fine ahead of their second group match against the USA on Friday night.
